The Blue Power charger has "adaptive" management of the microprocessor controlled battery. Its "adaptive" function will automatically optimize the charging process based on the use of the battery.
Storage mode: less aging and need for maintenance when the battery is not being used
The storage mode is activated when the battery has not been discharged within 24 hours. In storage mode, the float voltage is reduced to 2.2 V / cell (13.2 V for 12 V batteries) to reduce gassing and corrosion of the positive plates. Once a week, the voltage is raised again at absorption level to "equalize" the battery. This function prevents electrolyte stratification and sulfation, the main causes of battery failure.
It also charges Li-Ion batteries (LiFePO4)
LiFePO4 batteries are charged with a simple initial charge - absorption - float algorithm.
Set NIGHT and LOW.
When the NIGHT or LOW modes are active, the output current is reduced to a maximum of 25% of the nominal output and the charger will be completely silent. The NIGHT mode ends automatically after 8 hours. The LOW mode can be finalized manually.
Protection against overheating
The output current will decrease as the temperature rises to 50oC, but the Blue Power charger will not fail.
